Step up for Flynt

Donation protected
On July 8, 2018, Flynt and Tracy Greenwood were involved in a motorcycle accident when a deer ran out in front of them and their friends. Even though they were only traveling about 30 mph, when they tried to avoid a collision, the brakes locked up causing them to hit the deer, throwing them from the Harley. While Tracy was lucky for the most part, she still suffered a badly broken ankle and had to have 16 screws put in and will be no weight bearing for at least 2 months. Flynt wasn’t as lucky, he suffered a punctured and bruised lung, 10 broken ribs on his right side, a broken shoulder blade, broken collerbone, broken right wrist, fractured left wrist, fractured pelvis, and his right elbow has had to be cleaning out and set. All of this while still recovering from a serious fall about 2 months prior where he suffered multiple breaks and fractures in his arms. So far he’s had surgery on his elbow but his lungs are the main focus right now. He is currently dependent on a ventilator while also battling high creatinine levels in his kidneys and trying to prevent infections. He is currently still in ICU at a trauma center about 45 minutes from home. The estimated length of his hospital stay is still unknown due to the extent of his injuries. He just recently started his job and was just weeks away from being eligible for benefits including disability. Therefore, he will have no income for the undetermined amount of time that he will be out of work for his recovery. And although, thankfully, he does have health insurance which will help pay for most of the medical bills, they will not have the income to pay for everyday living expenses such as their house payment, car payment, power, food, gas etc. Due to Tracy’s injuries, she will also be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. Along with daily living expenses, Tracy is having to travel back and forth to the hospital in order to help make medical decisions on Flynt’s behalf. Family is helping as much as possible both financially and emotionally but none of us are able to shoulder the bulk of the financial responsibility. Any financial support is greatly appreciated and will be put towards making sure that they do not loose their house or other necessities. Prayers and good thoughts are also appreciated and coveted. Updates about their recovery will posted every few days, thank you in advance for any and all donations.
