Extra help while Jace is in the hospital

Jace was born with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1. Because of his low muscle tone in his body it has caused him to have severe scoliosis.

As most of our friends & family know we are currently living in the hospital 2 hours away from home while Jace is in his halo traction before his back surgery to get magnetic rods.

With having a new baby in February & Jameson getting his treatment, meeting jaces new ortho & planning the halo- Justin has missed a lot of work & has currently been out of work for the last 1.5 months. We had very little time to prepare for this & save money to live here & keep up with our bills at home. We just knew our boy needed this done ASAP because this was his only option.

While staying here we have all became sick & jace tested positive for parainfluenza3. We have been on isolation for the last 2 weeks. Because Jace is sick- everything has to be pushed back by another month. We won’t be home until sometime in August.

Today, Monday July 1st marks 6 weeks of living here as a family of 5. I’m going to be honest- we are struggling. this isn’t easy & we are running out of money.. & fast!

I tell myself everyday that this is only temporary. We will get through this & it will be worth it.
