Benjamin Brooks Memorial Fund

Yesterday while enjoying a family outing with his wife and kids at the Toutle River,  Ben Brooks payed the ultimate sacrafice while saving his wife and son from drowning.

Benjamin A. Brooks, 35, of Toledo, Wash., was swimming with his family a few miles east of Toutle a little before 3 p.m. when his 9-year-old son Ethan began struggling to stay afloat.  Ben, his wife Linda and their daughter jumped in the water to help him.  Ben got to his son and pushed him back towards shore.  Linda and Ben's daughter Karly were able to take Ethan back to shore.  

The currents were too strong and Ben was taken under.  His body was recovered last night near the spot he was last seen.

Ben is survived by his loving wife Linda and their two children, Karly and Ethan.  Ben was a loving husband, a hardworker and a great father.  This family is lost without him and they need your prayers and support.  Anything helps.
