Buddy's Splenectomy

Donation protected
Meet Buddy. I recently adopted this guy (in the last month) after losing two of my other rescue dogs this year. He wasn't feeling well, so we went to the vet and discovered he has a softball sized tumor in his spleen. This requires surgery or his spleen will eventually rupture and cause life threatening complications. This has been a very hard time for me having lost two of my pets in the last eight months already. As their owner, I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility for them - financially and otherwise. Owning pets isn't cheap and I fully accept that. I am struggling with this post because I am uncomfortable asking others to shoulder my burden of pet care. Unfortunately I am faced with a $2,000-$2,500 surgery - very suddenly and after spending thousands on my other guys before they passed. I don't want to give up on Buddy. The decision to move forward with the surgery is coming down to a financial one, so I am swallowing my pride and reaching out to my friends to see if maybe you can help. Ultimately, I know what happens with Buddy will be what is meant to be, but I felt like I could not overlook a fundraising option before making a plan for him. Thanks for listening.
