Schmiedicke Life-After-Fire Fund

Donation protected

Nikki, John Mark, and their baby Josephine, escaped with their lives, but lost everything else on the night of April 29, 2017.  Their livlihood (the Strong Oaks Woodshop), their adjacent apartment, and all of their possessions, were lost to a massive fire that destroyed one of the oldest buildings in Front Royal, Virginia.

This GoFundMe page was created in response to Nikki's friends asking to contribute to an emergency fund to help them get back on their feet.  All money contributed, except those taken directly by GoFundMe and the credit card companies, will go directly to Nikki and John Mark. The amount we selected as a goal is really pretty much a random number, so going over it is great! Please donate any amount you care to, and know that it will help.

Note:  There may be other GoFundMe pages for other people affected by this tragedy.  In particular, I am aware of a campaign set up to benefit the Strong Oaks Woodshop specifically, which is here:

The GoFundMe page you are on here was set up by friends of Nikki and John Mark, who lost their livlihood, as well as their home and most possessions, in the blaze.  Funds raised from this page go directly to them.

Thank you.
