VI Teen - NYT - Drama Queen.

This is my daughter Sophie who is 19 . Sophie had a malignant brain tumour diagnosed at 13 months old .Surgery, intensive chemo cured her but left her with hydrocephalus, poor balance , hormone issues and visually impaired. It's Sophie's brain that doesn't work not her eyes - CVI - her vision is similar to tunnel vision. She has always had problems with her health , and consequently went to a special needs school . Which was fine until she fell over and broke her elbow and ripped her tricep off . She dropped out of school severely depressed, never to go back .4 years on and with help and support from many amazing people - our. Home education community, Blind Children UK , Guide Dogs , CVI society uk Sophie has a passion and a dream that is about to be realised with your help Sophie has been offered a place on the National Youth Theatre's 21 day summer course , after which she will be a fully fledged member of the NYT and able to perform in their prestigious productions. The course is £ 695 we have scrimped and save for , however because Sophie still needs some help with general living skills she will only be able to access this opportunity by traveling in everyday on the train and not staying in the residential accommodation available as she would need someone to stay with her . The train travel alone is £50 a DAY because Sophie needs a sighted guide to go with her ☹️ so over £ 1000 in total . Shocking ! Please help us to get Sophie to NYT it has been a hard journey , with many knocks along the way but Sophie comes alive when she performs , she's confident , vibrant and has great comic timing She has already done some quite amazing things in her life , she walked over the O2 for charity, she spoke in Parliament for Blind Children Uk / Guide Dogs on the importance of habilitation services , she has been a speaker at the CVI society's convention and is one of their young ambassador 's , she also writes their blog . She is a very talented young lady who is spreading her wings and following her passion . Please help up get her there❤️
