Community Health Center Kenya
Tax deductible
It takes a village.
You can help bring quality health services to a small rural area in Kenya that SOTENI Village of Hope serves. With your support, we can make the necessary changes to begin accepting insurance and serve those in the community surrounding our health center.
The problem is simple - People are walking farther to get health services because we are not able to take insurance cards. This is something YOU can help with, DONATE now!
Over 40% of the required funding has been secured. Additional funds are immediately needed to provide the following:
· 3 circumcision sets - $20 each
· Delivery Pack - $60
· 4 new patient beds - $70 each
· 2 newborn beds - $200 each
· New Sluice room – Additional room that will give new mothers a private, clean space for bathing and washing. All construction materials and labor - $600 total
One Village Working together
With your help we can raise the remaining amount and start taking insurance to better serve our clients now.

SOTENI operates a community health center in the remote area of Mbakalo, Kenya. Here community members receive HIV testing and pre-test counseling, malaria & typhoid testing, family planning services, support and individualized referrals and care.
With the national health insurance program (NHIF) instituted by the Kenyan government in 2015, our Mbakalo health center is a candidate to become NHIF accredited, upon adding more equipment, beds and space. These additions – and resulting NHIF accreditation – will allow us to take insurance, making our services more accessible and affordable to all community members.
