Mental Health/Suicide - For Kimmi

Many may not know but our daughter suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Depression & Anxiety. Her doctors have her on so many different mediations to mask her problem and not address it. Her depression tells her to commit suicide and be done with it. She has threatened this many times in the last week. The medication for the Rheumatoid Arthritis exasperates the depression by 50%, thus making her likely to end her life. She WANTS help, she NEEDS help and we as parents can not lose our daughter, our only child. She is heading to a treatment facility in San Francisco for the treatment she needs. They must get to the root of it, find out her triggers and develop a better medication regime if she is going to survive. She needs to learn coping skills and how to function as a working person. We are 95% sure her insurance will not be accepted as she is on basic Medi-CAL in California and they only cover out-patient. She is beyond out-patient and must have in-patient for as long as it takes. On top of this, while away from her home, she still needs to pay her bills. She was to begin a new job in August that she was so excited about starting and we pray she will be able to get the help she needs to start with a new outlook on life and a job she will love.

We have been a wreck all this last days. Being we live in NC and she is in CA. Our hearts are breaking for our child. I personally, can not travel due to health issues. The not knowing daily if she is alive or dead is crushingly the most horrible thing a parent can go through. The fact that she recognizes her need for help is great but she still has that other voice that says just end it. It is not a daily battle, but an hourly one.

Kimmi is a creatively beautiful woman, age 30. So much ahead for her. So much for her to experience, to learn and love as she grow older.

We implore you for help. The funds raised will go to her treatment costs and other bills. We do not have affordability to be able to take care of her costs. Please....
