Short For Sam

HI Everyone, My beautiful friend Samantha Firth has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. This is a devastating diagnosis, especially given that Sam is only 29 years old, she is a much loved mother to Ashton and Lachie (attends Tuart Rise), wife to Dave, and a beautiful daughter, sister and my friend. Sam has already had a surgery to remove the primary growths on and around her ovary, and she commenced an intense chemotherapy treatment regime on Monday 24 April 2017.

Dave currently works FIFO, but has ceased work indefinitely to be by Sam’s side and to care for their young boys. This alone has caused a huge amount of financial strain on their family, not even taking the huge medical bills into consideration. It is for this reason that I am going to cut my hair off.  So I will be cutting my hair as short as possible to help raise funds for Sam and her family. Sam and her family live in Baldivis and her oldest boy attends Tuart Rise Primary. Sam is also a Teacher in Kwinana.

The very talented Belinda Hay will be cutting my hair off for me amd she is donating her time and skills for my cut. I will be cutting my hair off on Saturday 13th May 2017. I want to give myself the most amount of time possible to raise as much money as I can for her family. I would love to be able to pay for her PET SCAN that she had that confirmed her Ovarian Cancer. I think for her to not have this bill hanging over her would help her in a great way.
