Let me start by saying that I don't want to do this. I truly truly don't. I don't like asking for help.
But the love of my life is currently in the battle of his life, and we need help.
Kenny is dealing with some serious issues that have almost taken him from us twice. It is only by the grace of God that he is still here.
I would like to keep the details private out of respect for him, but we have been quietly struggling with this for over two years now. I've been doing my best to keep my 'game face' on and get things done, but I am to the point where I have to ask for outside help.
Kenny is in the hospital and will be away from home for quite some time. Unfortunately our insurance requires an over $6000 deductible before anything will be paid. In addition, he will be out of work for quite a while and my income cannot cover our bills. The financial impact of this will probably be over 10k by the time all is said and done.
Believe me, asking for help is THE LAST thing I want to do but through this battle we have exhausted all of our personal resources.
Our family has offered to help us, but these are significant expenses, plus they are being affected by this too so I would like to reduce the burden on them as much as possible.
Kenny is an unbelievably great guy with the sweetest heart I've ever known and he deserves a long, healthy, happy life. Through this I've always promised him that I will do everything I can to fight for him, to help him get better, and to keep him here for our sweet daughters and our precious little boy.
That now includes swallowing my pride and asking for help.
This will save his life. This will save our family.
