Sara Norton Funeral Family Medical

Sara Norton passed away today after a fight with lung and brain cancer that in the end was just to much to overcome. She was a wife, a grandmother, a friend, and to me she was my mom. I loved her everyday to the fullest and cannot imagine a world can ever exist where I am not going to able to call her just to say hi.She would hate the idea of me setting this up. She would be mad and embarrassed by it. Personally though I have no issue at all asking a friend, a loved one, or even a stranger for help when it's truly needed. In the same way I would help someone who asked me. So thank you for taking any time at all to read this and if you have a dollar to spare please know it's appreciated. However if you don't then please don't think twice about it, instead provide a prayer or a good thought because there are so many times in life when that's more valuable than money ever could be.To get to the specifics of the why I am doing this... Due to the sudden nature of her diagnosis along with some old fashioned bad luck her employer health benefits expired out and they are not going to honor her life insurance; as frustrating as it is to accept this and as wrong as it is feels they are within legal rights. Because she was still working when she got sick she didn't yet have a private insurance set up, once she was sick she wasn't eligible to apply. Any money that someone is kind enough to share will go toward burial/funeral expenses, outstanding medical bills for treatments, and family support. She lived the last few years of her life in Texas which is a place she loved but most of her family and her life was built in Michigan and it would be wonderful to hopefully share in the celebration of her life in a place where the people she shared it with are at. Also she built up medical bills to an astronomical number and being honest it's unreasonable to think that enough money could ever be raised here to address all of it but the bills are not going away and the bill collection callers will take what they can get. Finally, a small portion would be used to help with the adjustment period of setting up life without her.Thank you again, words can't describe so many actions and emotions that we feel as we live and as we die. So instead we laugh and we cry and we smile. I can't hear my moms words anymore but I still feel her smile.
