I am raising seed money in hopes to earn my own bassoon which is a veeeeeery expensive instrument and although I have a full scholarship at New England Conservatory I still need to supplement for my room and board. Folks have been asking me for a place to donate so here I am! A professional bassoon costs between $15,000 and $35,000. And room and board is about $7,000 per year. So please help my nephew - our family has done all we can to help him financially already... Thanks for all of you who believe in him and his talent. Kai is extremely talented and initially taught himself how to play the bassoon. He didn't have a formal private teacher until he had played the instrument for a couple of years. He also plays the cello, flute, saxophone and clarinet..... The bassoon is his principal instrument. I think we are experiencing the beginnings of a conductor!
