Albert is a 2 month old lab puppy we would like to help him gain some quality to his life as he is such a happy puppy.
It appears his hind legs are paralyzed but he does go to the bathroom on his own, wiggles his tail and feels pain on one toe but can not walk. He scoots around on his bottom but as you can imagine that's causing him to have sores. Xrays show he may have a possible spinal fracture. We would like to schedule him for an MRI which would give us all the answers but as you can imagine that is very costly, up to around $1,800. He is receiving weekly acupuncture treatments just to see if it can help stimulate some movement although it's imperative he gets some physical therapy. We were able to get him a puppy wheelchair but he will need to be fitted for a custom one that will fit him as he grows. If some feeling can be regained in the future, he will need fitted leg supports. Also needed for his daily life are doggie diapers, diaper covers and pads.
