Nikki's Medical Fund
After Nikki was discharged from the hospital it was advised to her family that she should not be alone, so her mum Donna quit her job to be Nikki's full time carer.
Nikki is currently presenting again with all the signs she had before the tumour was found, indicating the tumour could be growing.
As Nikki isn't a hospital patient her MRI's are no longer bulked billed. This means they will all be out of pocket cost. For those who don't know MRI's are expensive and with Nikki's condition she is required to have 3 or more a year as the doctors want to monitor it regularly so they can be on top of it straight away if they see it is starting to grow again. Along with the cost of the MRI's Nikki and her family also have to worry about the trips they have to make to Sydney as that is where Nikki's surgeon is based.
The reason I've started this fundraiser is so Nikki and her family can have a little less to stress about when it comes to the time of year where Nikki has to have another MRI and the trips they will have to make to Sydney through out the years to come.
All donations big or small will be greatly appreciated by Nikki and of course the Davis family.
With that being said, Nikki is expected to be in Sydney for 6 weeks, which means they will be out of work for majority of this time, and will unfortunately still have out of pocket expenses to cover, in Sydney and ofcourse at home in Wagga Wagga.
The last thing they need to stress about is finances especially when they have everything else to worry about, so I've reopened this page in hope that we can all help them out in this time of need. All donations wether they be big or small will be greatly appreciated and will make a big difference for nikki and her family.
so today I was pre admitted, and had many tests, needles and scans, ready for a 6am admission Monday morning for surgery!
today i got answers to a lot of questions I had regarding my third surgery.
so they will be entering by the right parietal lobe, which is the same incision as my second surgery. With my MRI today, it shows big tumour growth, and also shows large blood vessels in and around the tumour. with this being said, it makes me a priority risk, for a stroke or bleeding out and bleeding on the brain, which is one of the factors as to why I was given a low survival rate to begin with for this surgery.
it was also stated that this will not be my last brain surgery, given the risks involved in removing the mass.
it's been a really long day, im running on minimal sleep, and my emotions are so high. but this is just a little update for you all. I can't thankyou all enough for your love and support.
'I didnt come this far, to only come this far' ❤️❤️
Please keep Nikki and her Family high in your thoughts for the next few days as Nikki will be undergoing her THIRD brain surgery in just a short span of time. Please reach out and let them all know you are there wether it be with a quick message or a small donation just to help out and make things easier for Nikki and her Family. I know how much they appreciate and can not thank you all enough for the donations already made and for the amazing support you have all shown during this period of time.
I will try my best to keep updates going on the go fund me page which is linked below.
today she received a call from her specialist notifying her that she has to undergo her 3rd brain surgery. she is now waiting for St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney to contact her with her operation date. Nikki is anxious and full of emotions, although she was somewhat prepared for this, hearing this news has shattered her.
Myself, Nikki and her family Thankyou for your ongoing love and support throughout this long, exhausting journey..
