The best healing balm is from being able to put a positive spin on a terrible situation in my experience. My life is a fairytale. You know the kind. I am no Snow White, but my story is just as compelling and hopeful as the Disney version. It is also as real as life. This project is about getting other people to hear my story and find strength in it like I do every day.
It is not perfect, but it is compelling. It is a flawed mess, but it is the type of mess that lets people know that God is real and He can help us. Yeah, it is written from my spiritual perspective, but it can appeal to everyone to show them how an individual's faith and lead to something better.
It is my dream to write, and I have this great story, but I do not have the means to get it out alone. A good friend of mine told me that what we fail to realize often as people is that no good idea ever came forward without a group of people to support it.
So, I look to you. As with any goal, there are steps to reaching it. You can be a part of making it a reality! Be a part of it.

They died despite my faith in God, paying tithing, saying my prayers, serving a two-year mission for Christ, keeping chaste until marriage, and marrying in the temple--despite being of my faith. I had read the Book of Mormon for years by then; so, where was his warning to me that something like this would happen? God prepared me in small ways for all the things that have come. He does this for all of us; however, we must pay attention to notice."
That excerpt is from this upcoming project. Yes, I am a Mormon, an LDS Christian. The significance of temples for LDS Christians centers around the belief that they believe that relationships are eternal, so the ceremonies are meant to last for eternity.
From this perspective, I share my life with the world. I want to get this story out. God has blessed me with a great family, a great church, and a terrific community. With your help, I will get copies of this project of mine out to all the people who want to hear how God helped me experience tragic loss but still call life Good. It is not a new story, but it is one of hope in the midst of despair.
We have much despair in the world to read of and view. Support some hope.
Help me reach my goal. I want to do so by my 40 birthday, which is November 29, but if I have learned one thing in this two-year process it is good things take time to make. My goal is to secure enough help from you by February 15, 2017, to publish it by March 2017
How the funds will be Spent
The funds will help cover printing costs and postage cost for prizes that are associated with donation amounts such as t-shirts, books, speaking opportunities and more. You will find the contribution levels for prizes below.
Revision and Editing: Though the book is finished, there are still a few rounds of review and editing that it needs to go through before it is put out for sale. You would help create the best product possible with your funds. The story to tell is only as good as the words used to tell it. The more editing it receives, the better the product becomes.
Printing and binding: There is an initial cost before the book starts paying for itself. You would help to cover that cost. Each costs to produce. Rather than print the book as a customer orders, there will be funds to provide some books to display for immediate purchase.
Advertising: To get the book out to the public there needs to be adverts. Right now only YouTube and Facebook--social media, in general, are used. You would make it possible for professionals to assist. Fees to designers and graphics for the book cover, which is still under review, will be covered. Radio spots and professional trailers can occur.
Travel and distribution: It is expensive promoting a book. With your help, book signings and speaking engagements can occur to get the world out. All the donations will go towards assisting in the creation and dissemination of the book.
Prizes: Donations also will be used to provide for the prizes associated with contributing. Things like postage and packaging will be covered for all who donate.
