My Story
My name is Jackie and I love Taekwondo. I have been doing Taekwondo for almost seven years, and am a third degree black belt at MooDo TKD in Eugene, OR. I am also a full-time freshman student at the University of Oregon. This last summer I had the honor of participating at the World Taekwondo Hanmadang, in South Korea, with the help from all my friends and family. If you know a little bit about my journey through the martial arts, you know that I compete in the combination breaking, where you get between six and ten boards to break with any techinuque you wish, and power breaking. Power breaking is where you put any number of wood, concrete slabs, or tiles up and break them all with one hit. Last year I competed in the combination break, and got second place against seven other competitors, but was a few months under the age limit for the power breaking.

My Goal
This year I finally have the opportunity to compete in the power breaking event, and I need some assistance once again. The experience that I had last year was beyond any of my expectations, and that's all thanks to those supporting me. I plan on competing in the combination break and power breaking events, and the cost of the plane ticket is pretty spendy. $2,000 would help me cover the plane ticket, pay for competing, and the hotel expenses.
