Our Beloved Diane's Cancer Fund

We are reaching out to humbly ask for any monetary support you can extend. Here is her story...
On Dec 14, 2016 Diane received a diagnosis that abruptly changed her life- stage 3 colorectal cancer. The news was devastating and unexpected, as health and wellness are a cornerstone of Diane's life. The shock reverberated throughout her close circle of friends and family.

But Diane didn't stay in this shocked state for long. She faced her situation head on as the real work began. Knowing nutrition, meditation and staying grounded in her yoga practice was vital to her recovery, Diane enlisted the help of Parsley Clinics, Dr. Lester, a functional medicine doctor, for counseling sessions twice a month. She has completely altered her diet, adopting a Ketogenic way of eating and follows a treatment with supplements to heal her gut. She also is receiving regular acupuncture and Chinese Medicine treatments from Dr. Barbara Jo Fleming, an integral healer in her treatment process.

These adjuvant therapies are being done in conjunction with a more traditional but intense chemotherapy treatment plan, a 12 week clinical trial through Kaiser. Surgery is expected to follow in late May that will involve an ileostomy, that later will require another surgery and continued recovery period.Because of her chemotherapy treatment, Diane has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return for several months. Short term disability unfortunately does not provide much pay. A large portion of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter.

Diane has made it her life's work to help others. She is a source of light and love to many who have studied with her as a yoga instructor and health coach and her focus on restorative yoga has helped countless people throughout the Central Valley. She is adored by the many who have benefited and found comfort in her kindness and radiant spirit.

As much as Diane is a tender-hearted soul, she is also a warrior! She faces this great challenge without self-pity and with a grace that is encouraging to everyone who knows her. Anything we can do to help with this financial hardship would be appreciated by her and those who love her. Diane's main focus is on clearing this cancer from her body, and we are confident she will! Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
