Save Sasha
This is Sasha. She was found on the side of the highway (Garners Ferry Columbia, SC) this morning at 7:30 A.M. and was left for dead. Brittany and myself (Allison) rescued her. When I arrived to the scene all she wanted to do was lay on me and cuddle....so I let her. You could tell instantly that her hip was broken, she had puppies or was about to, her one eye was full of blood, and her nose was constantly bleeding. She was shaking because she was so cold. We were able to put her on a sheet and lift her up into my car to rush her to the animal clinic. My friend and I got her to the Animal Clinc and into a room. Once the doctor had arrived we found out many things... They said that she definitely had puppies and recently because she was still bleeding. (However we seaeched for her puppies and there were no signs of them.) The clinic is wanting to try and send search dogs to find the puppies. However my guess is that she was dumped aftet jut having them. They did an ultra sound and there were no more puppies, but there was also no internal bleeding which is amazing! They took her back to X-ray and confirmed that she has a fractured hip and pelvis. They confirmed that her puncture wound on her forehead did not break her skull. However it is so close to her eye that her one eye is filled with blood and that she will more than likely lose that eye. Her eye being filled with so much blood is also why her nose kept constantly bleeding. She is currently stable and they are trying to find a rescue to help them get involved and find her a good home. Everyone is just wanting Sasha to go to a good home because she is nothing but a fighter. Please pray for a fast recovery. She is in a lot of pain still.
