The three charities we're raising money for have been pivotal in my life.Great Ormand Street Children's Hospital:I suffered a brain haemorrhage at the age of 4 years old and almost died (as did my mother, upon receiving a call from my school headteacher after I had collapsed in the classroom when a blood vessel burst on my brain and I was rushed from there to the hospital). Great Ormand Street Children's Hospital is where I literally lived for a good few months of my childhood, being operated on and praise God... I'm alive and well today! The money raised will be going towards their research as well as to providing toys and fun resources for the children who in many cases, end up having to live on the wards for months on end.The Girl's Day School Trust:The education I received is one that has truly changed my life and helped shape me into the woman that I am today. This was made possible by the help of the Girl's Day School Trust fund, which enabled me to attend South Hampstead High School for Girls on a full bursary. The money raised will be going to providing funding for girls who specifically require it when transitioning from their GCSEs to A Levels, as many can no longer afford to carry on to Sixth Form and continue on that trajectory of an outstanding education... And to be frank... I believe it's what every girl needs!Time For Marriage:My marriage in essence, has become the gateway to a deeper relationship with my faith that I never even dreamed possible. I am so grateful to my husband for being the most perfect man humanly possible! Time for Marriage has been an excellent source of enrichment for us and it's not just an organisation but a family. The money raised will be going towards their bursary fund which allows for those who want to make the best of their marriages but who may not be able to afford the cost of the conferences. As they say at Time For Marriage: Saving Marriages... Saving The World! And I believe if society can get Marriage right... the World truly will be a better place.
