Peru Storm And Flood Disaster
To all my family and friends, I am starting this fundraiser for the millions of people in Peru who are being affected by the torrential storms caused by El Niño, that has flooded the rivers and caused flash floods through the streets and homes, and has caused a lot of damage, loss of property, and personal effects. This has been happening for the past two weeks, but yet, there has not been much media coverage of what is happening there now. We have contacted Red Cross and after being on the phone for an hour, they told us that since the Peruvian government hasn't declared a state of emergency, they have not mobilized. I am trying to raise as much as possible to send a shipping container from Baltimore with clothing, shoes, water, and other basic living toiletries and necessities. Any amount given will be very much appreciated. Let's help these people who will more than likely start suffering due to more storms coming and temperatures rising, and illnesses caused by disease carrying mosquitoes. A todos mis familiares y amigos, estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para millones de personas en el norte del Perú que están siendo afectadas por las tormentas causadas por El Niño que ha inundado los ríos y causado inundaciones repentinas a través de las calles y hogares y ha causado Una gran cantidad de daños, pérdida de propiedad y efectos personales. Esto ha estado sucediendo durante las últimas dos semanas, pero aún así, no ha habido mucha cobertura de los medios de comunicación de lo que está sucediendo allí ahora. Hemos contactado a la Cruz Roja y después de estar en el teléfono durante una hora, nos dijeron que el gobierno Peruano no ha declarado el estado de emergencia, no se han movilizado. Estoy intentando de recolectar lo mas posible para enviar un envase desde Baltimore con la ropa, los zapatos, agua, y otros artículos y necesidades básicos para sobrevivir. Cualquier cantidad será muy apreciada. Vamos a ayudar a estas personas que más que probable que comienzan a sufrir debido a más tormentas y las temperaturas que van a subir, y las enfermedades causadas por los sancudos y agua sucia.
