Kronmueller House Fire

On the evening of Thursday, March 9th, our parent's home was struck by lightning during a storm passing through Mount Vernon, MO. With the high winds, hail and lightning beginning, our mother, Cindy, took our two youngest siblings to the basement to ride out the storm. Shortly after, they heard and felt the loudest most unforgettable sound of what they would eventually realize to be lightning striking their home. This sounded the smoke detectors and with that they were headed back upstairs where Cindy attempted to extinguish the flames that had appeared. She quickly realized it was out of her hands and due to the very high winds the flames quickly spread through the upstairs bedrooms. They were able to get themselves and all of their beloved pets out of the house to safety. The firefighters had issue with the winds prolonging the destruction of the house. With our father, Bill, working out of town he immediate dropped everything to get home to his family. We (the older children) were notified and left that night fromeach of our homes near St. Louis and Rolla. We have had several amazing friends and neighbors drop off some clothing and food. The house is still being assessed by the insurance company, but in the mean time our family is devastated. They need to find a temporary home and replace everyday necessities. Anything is more than appreciated, but we have set up this GoFund Me account on their behalf to help soften the expenses they will have going forward trying to find normalcy again. Bill and Cindy are two of the most hardworking and generous people who have always been there for anyone in their time of need. Now both of them and our siblings desperately need help.
