As some of you may know, Desiree's youngest son Hudson has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A rare genetic disease, that causes the muscles in the body to become weak and damaged over time and, eventually fatal. According to research, nearly 90% of patients are wheel-chair bound by the age of 15 and currently the life expectancy is set at 27 years old. It goes without saying, that this devastating news is and will continue to greatly affect Hudson’s well-being on many levels. It would appear that there is no proven medical cure. However, some naturopathic research has proven to be highly effective on certain patients.
Hudson’s diet has been altered and the family is trying the more holistic approach in hopes to alleviate and slow down the destructive effect on his body. Unfortunately, the protocol given to Hudson is very expensive, and so we are seeking everyone’s help.
Here’s the thing, for those of you who know Desiree, you know that she would do just about anything for her friends and family and her kindness goes far beyond her means.
We are asking that you find it in your heart to help a friend in need. Anything will help at this point guys!!!
