Melissa was taken to the Wynne emergency room after a sudden seizure on October 2nd. It was there that the doctors noticed a grape sized brain tumor on her temporal lobe. She was immediately rushed to UAMS in Little Rock for surgery and they were able to remove 95%+ of the tumor (praise God).
It was determined that it was a very aggressive brain cancer and she will need radiation therapy as well as daily chemo.
With the ambulance ride, ICU, surgery, the hospital stay and future daily medical treatments in Little Rock, Melissa and her family could really use our financial support at this time.
Melissa works at Cross County school district as the Special Education Director. She has worked in education for over 20 years and She is so ready to come back to work! That is what she was most eager to do once out of the hospital! She loves her students and her staff and misses everyone greatly! She asks for prayers for complete healing!
Melissa doesn’t expect anything from anyone but she sincerely appreciates the prayers and the meals that have been taken to her!
