Cancer Caregiver Needs Your Help

As you know being a caregiver is no easy task, it is hard. It drains you emotionally, physically and spiritually. Caregiving is much of a calling rather than a job you show up to.
Whether you care for your mom, or dad or your spouse in the past or are currently, you can testify that indeed: it takes a lot from you.
Caregivers do not really get the recognition or the appreciation they truly deserve.
I am honored to have worked with one of the most dedicated caregiver I know - Shirley Frizzell, she is a caregiver and a nursing aide with Prestige Care – Burlington.
Shirley has been diagnosed with bladder cancer and now has spread more to her lymph nodes. She has faithfully served our seniors and residents here at our Burlington facility not 10, not 20, not 30, but for over 42 years. She has faithfully and dedicated 2/3 of her life serving our seniors and our community here in Burlington. She cared for the many and I have personally witnessed her often caring for our seniors by just sitting next to their bed and listening to them, and helped them take away their worries and fears so that our patient/residents feel more peaceful so that they can get the rest they need. She is an incredible human being. Her care for others is an exemplary. It is her goal getting back working again, but due to her weakness, it may not be possible. She is worried about making ends meet. She is a widower and has custody of 2 great-grandchildren.
So I ask you with a kind and generous heart to give whatever you can whether your time to spread the news or this Go Fund me page donations. Even if it’s only $1, anything would help. Or, if you cannot help with funds today then I ask you to kindly spread the word about Shirley and share her GoFundMe page.
