Matthew Manka and Dina Julian-Manka are responsible for Dougie's medical, funeral and end of life expenses. All contributions are going to Cognetta Funeral Home, Queen of Peace Cemetry, the reception, and Dougie's medical bills. Any additional funds will be donated to the ARI of Stamford Connecticut. Checks will be written to all individuals listed above.
***Dougie White, Unoffical Mayor of Stamford, was a gentle giant and kind soul. Whether he was riding his bike, at Starbucks or visiting friends, he always put a smile on our faces. Dougie is a Legend in Stamford and is someone that everybody adored. Our goal is to meet his funeral and medical expenses and celebrate his life and love. Contributions that exceed these needs will be donated to Always Reaching for Independence (ARI) of Connecticut, which was founded by Dougie's father, Francis White, in 1952. ARI enriches the lives of people with disablities and their families by enabling them to achieve their fullest potential at home, at work, and in the community. Our family will miss Dougie dearly (as we know you will too). ***
