Super Soakers For Syrian Kids

Donation protected
My name is Gabriel Nyantakyi and I live in Philadelphia. I'm an avid water gun collector and enthusiast. After seeing the Kony 2012 Invisible Children campaign, I was inspired to celebrate play and do more to preserve the innocence of children. The only guns a kid should have is a super unrealistic looking water gun! In the summer I share my collection with the kids in my neighborhood, and youth programs I am involved in. I was able  give away super soakers when I traveled Ghana and Iraq recently (picture above is from Arbil Iraq)

When I was in the Turkey and Iraq in 2014 I witness first hand Syrian people displaced by war. There are many children that ask for money just by saying. "Syria" My goal to take my collection over to Istanbul and play with the kids there. There are a number of large fountains and pools in a city square that would be a perfect place for a water gun fight.

I am seeking help to buy some additional smaller super soakers. 400 dollars should be able to purchase around 100 and I intend to take about 40 from my own stockpile. I'm thinking 100 dollars will be needed to pay to ship the extra bags or parcel. Any additional money will be used to help people in need directly or donated to aid organizations active in the region.  I have contacts with a local chapter of Food not Bombs. I'd also love to help a school that I visited in the town of Batman get some office supplies and some printer ink.

The water guns are bought thanks to this campaign and I purchased the ticket. My flight is May 25th. I want to live in a world where random acts of fun and love can happen at any moment. I need your help to make this a reality. Thank you
