Shawn Clement Needs Our Help

As many of you know, Shawn Clement was hospitalized this week after an act of desperation. What most of you don't know are the reasons why. Shawn has been involved in numerous lawsuits both before and after his divorce. Those of you close to him probably know the nature of the situation, after a decade it's still going on. He's been financially and emotionally decimated, and the stress of the situation has made it difficult for him to work as much as he'd like. To make matters worse, a few months ago, after returning from a hospitalization for illness, he discovered that a trusted business partner had disappeared after stealing his identity, drained his pension of millions, took what little cash he had left. An investigation is underway, but he may never see his money again. As a result of the lawsuits from the divorce, Shawn is required to make some court-ordered payments. He has to pay $65,000 by February 14th, or he will be held in contempt of court and sent to jail. He's been having to live off credit to stay afloat since the identity theft and has no way to make the payment. When he learned of this inevitability, he felt like he was in no win situation, and decided to take his life rather than face the reality of what would happen to him in prison. Shawn, despite helping so many with their careers and other issues ( including me) would never ask for help. But we all love him, and it's time for us to help him. I know $60,000 sounds like a lot, but if we all chip in I believe we can do it. We have to have the money raised by February 9th, to give the system time to transfer it to Shawn, so we have to act fast. Please donate whatever you can.
