A Guardian Angell for Gabriell
Jeanette Barcroft NOCONA, TX
My 4 year old son Gabriell has some significant developmental delays and behavior issues related to abuse and neglect he suffered before he came to be a part of my family. He has autistic like tendencies, but has yet to be diagnosed. Our biggest issue to date is bolting. Combine this with no concept of fear or danger and the situation becomes very scary. My hope is to raise enough money to get him a service dog that would be tethered to him and prevent this. The dog would also be trained to locate him if he were to get away when he was not tethered to the dog. The dog would also be trained to interrupt stemming and comfort him when he has a meltdown. My son also has separation anxiety at times, this dog would be a constant companion and help to relieve this anxiety. This dog, who we intend to name "Wags" could very well save his life. As a parent I know that no cost is too great for the safety of your child, but that sometimes you need help. That is why I am here, I need help.+ Read More
Our church, Abundant Life, had a garage sale for Gabriell, this weekend. A total of $700 was raised! Can you believe it?! I can God is great! Thank you all who helped and came out. So many came just to donate. This community is wonderful! Again, thank you all so much. GOD BLESS!
Gabrielle is so smart that it is scary sometimes. He watches the door and waits for someone to forget to lock it . Then he is gone!
We had a great morning at church this morning! Gabriell even asked to go potty, and did! Then we sat down in his favorite place, on the floor in between aisles and he fell asleep in my lap. Then sister Willow came and sat beside us.
11pm and still going strong!!!
