Animal Shelter Scammed By Contractor

A beloved animal shelter here in Colorado (who I've adopted three pets from personally) was scammed out of $25,000 from an out of state contractor. The money raised took TWO YEARS to accomplish. "TCRAS"/ Teller County Regional Animal Shelter got the money from donations and fundraisers to repair the shelter.

Now after a year since the repairs were done, the repairs are falling apart. The shelter walls are now crumbling and they could be at risk of building code violations, risking the shelter being shut down completely. "TCRAS" also recieves no funding from the county and is completely dependent on its community. This shelter holds a special place to many of us and not just the ones who've adopted. They go far out of their way to give animals a home, no matter how long. They are a "No Kill" shelter which also adds to the expenses of food, medicine, surgical procedures etc. They do have a small contract with the county to support animal control and other activities such as house pets for incarcerated individuals.  Please consider donating to help save the ONLY shelter in this region and get them back on their feet after being scammed.
