Help Lil Purrbox Get Healthy.

We rescued lil Brutus Von Purrbox before he ended up the city animal shelter, his mom was moving to an assisted living facility. Immediately we could tell he was a very sick cat. He had a dog bite to his head, breath that smelled of infection and cat scratches everywhere. After meeting him for a minute we fell in love. He is the sweetest, most loving cat we have ever met. Unfortunately not only did he have the worst case of bronchitis the vet has ever seen, but all his teeth were rotten, cutting into his cheeks. Since we found a slight heart murmur, we needed a cardiogram to approve surgery and many rounds of antibiotics to fix the bronchitis. We then had his oral surgery to remove all his teeth. He recovered well originally, but then one day we woke up to him not breathing well at all. He ended up in an oxygen chamber for 3 days until we found out he had extreme asthma. We brought the lil guy home with his inhaler and more steroids and meds. He was fine for days until he started vomiting. New visits, new studies and new meds again. New prescription foods too. He was well for a couple of days until yesterday where we woke up to him very warm, dizzy and lethargic. His temperature was 103. He was stabilized and came home. Today he woke up hotter. 105 degrees. He needed xrays, an abdominal ultrasound, blood work, specialist blood work and sedation. Then we had to leave him at another hospital overnight. The doctor there told us he most likely needs a specialist ultrasound, possibly a few more days in the hospital and to go see an internist. Just the hospital stays are $695 a day. Some of the meds have been $275 a week. Cardiograms and ultrasounds $450 to $759 each. This is without the prescription foods, regular meds and dozens of appointments. We have had lil Purrbox for 7 weeks. We hit the $10,000 mark tomorrow when we pay the overnight stay, and this stay is only to ensure he doesn't fry his lil brain with a fever. It appears he has a bit more to endure before he is healthy. He may have pancreatitis and may also need lung biopsies. I know I would give up my own kidneys, half a lung or anything my lil guy needed if I could. I wish I could explain how special he is. I figure 5 bux from a few people can help us get through what's ahead or at least one appointment. The money will ONLY be used for his treatment, tesrs and meds. I AM not asking for ANYTHING to replace what we've spent so far. Thanks.
