I want to help my Latvian friends family. One more treatment requires 36,000 euros, but we have already collected about 18,000 euros and we need more 18,000(~15,500 GBP). The sooner we collect the required amount, the faster Leonid will be able to go for treatment. Any help is very important to us.

Leonid went to Thailand to receive stem cell transplantation and nerve growth injections that would help stop the disease progression and improve his general condition. Once the stem cell transplantation received, there was obvious improvement in the abdominal outflow and the general condition. Also, his sight has improved. Now, Leonid can hold his head better. Before the procedures, the left side of his body was not responsive. Now, there are some slight improvements.
Also, Leonid has started to respond to external factors with his look. His immune system has been boosted, and he requires no inhalations any more. We knew that Leonid had anemia. However, following the procedure, his haemo-globin has been within the reference range. Leonid’s mobility has also improved. Now, he tries to turn over and shows small achievements every day. And the most exciting news is that Leonid has spoken his first Word!
That being said, we would like to thank each and every person who helped/donated. To help Leonid improve even further, a repeated trip to Thailand should be arranged. Leonid needs to undergo the second round of stem cell transplantation and nerve growth injections to promote what has been low so far. He is trying to arouse what he could not do before.
Leonid needs to go to Thailand for the second time and receive the repeated stem cell transplantation and nerve development injections to enable Leonid’s further progress. Typically, one procedure is enough. However, Leonid’s condition is critical so a repeated visit to Thailand is required.

In April 2017 our long waited son Leonid was born. Unfortunately much earlier as normal (25th week) and his weight was only 840 grams. He didn't carry off any signs of life.
Immediately he was reanimated to save his life. The doctors announced that the child's situation is very seriously. In his 7th day he was transported to children hospital. The all time while he spent in the hospital, we could observe him only from incubator and his breathing was controlled by respiratory system. Continuously was given different medicaments including seizure medication. The doctor said that Leonid has 4th stage hemorrhage (bleeding in head) in both hemispheres, requiring punctuation. Punctuation was carried out several times because of blood spills and fluid in the head.
He also had a difficult stomach operation. The post-operative period was critical for him and the doctors allowed us to be with him that night. That night we prayed and said to him - "Fight, our lovely son, you are strong, we are with you." And with all this together he had anemia too and it was very necessarily to transfer blood several times and in this way he got for premature born babies life-threatening Cytomegalovirus and he had to fight for his life again.
Then he got meningitis. We visited the neurologist, where we got bad news and diagnosis was: mixed type of cerebral palsy, average heavy bronchopulmonary dysplasia and astigmatism in severe form - very strong weakness in eyes. Every day and night we stayed with him and prayed for him. We hope that God will give him strength. Being with him, we believe, that or lovely son hears and feels everything and we always are saying to him: "Daddy and mommy loves you so much and you are great fighter - we will succeed!"
Leonid proved, that he is strong and he continues to fight very brave.
Now we are at home under a "FOLLOW UP" program. Every day he needs to take a seizure medication, continuously we make inhalations. Because of heavy blood spills in the brain, his right hand doesn't work and can't held his head very well, but he tries and submits for treatment. Leonid tries to speak in his sweet baby language and makes kind of sounds like he would try to say: "I am, I can, I am fighting." After last eye doctor visit the vision has worsened. After magnetic resonance is visible, that the blood spills in the brain are absorbing slowly but it made scar tissues in the brain, which are damaging the sight nerves and makes a general health worsened.
Searching for a persistent solution and contacting the foreign clinics, we found one in Thailand - "BEIKE BIOTECHNOLOGY", which estimated Leonid's medical history. This clinic can help in general and improve eyesight. This clinic deals with stem cells. A medical course lasts 25 days, which includes treatment and rehabilitation.
