Drake Recovery Fund

Anyone who knows my family knows Drake, my sons sweet loving bird dog. Drake has been part of the Kane family for the last 6 years, always there to greet family and friends with that goofy friendly face. Anyone who knows Mitchell and Drake know the love and passion they both have for hunting. It was on a hunting trip early December when Drake was injured. What they thought was at first a snake bite that caused major paw and leg trauma later spread to his chest and lymph nodes. Now over a month later Drake has had 7 surgeries and is looking at long term treatment to over come a serious bacteria infection, Actinomycosis.We are gaining ground with the infection but we have been unsuccessful at getting his chest incision to heal, resulting in almost daily trips to the Vet and constant supervision. We have taken vacation time from work and rearranged schedules to ensure Drake isn't left alone. Our Vet, Dr Ina of Warm Hearts Pet Hospital has been amazing and I don't know how we would of gotten this far without her love and support. We would of never guessed this isolated paw injury would of led to this ongoing and expensive treatment when we started 5 weeks ago. I know how many of you have dogs and how they are truly apart of the family, if you would be able to assist Mitchell with the ongoing cost of Drakes recovery we would appreciate it.
