Save a Cockatoo

Tassiter is a Molluccan cockatoo.  A very bright,very funny precious little girl.  Cockatoos are very bright birds and she taught herself many funny tricks and can talk and sing and dance.  Overall a mischieveous, wonderous little kid that came in as a rescue as a feather picker.  I've had her for 30 years and have always given her the best of care with proper food and temperature and whatever else birds need to stay healthy.  In the 30 years I've had her she has only had to see a vet twice.

The other day I was sick and had someone helping me feed and clean.  The person had done it before and was familiar with the birds, but unknowing to me left the lock off her cage.  I went to check on them in the eve and found Tassie on the floor.  I picked her up and her leg was broken.

Spent all morning on the phone trying to find an avian vet near me and transportation forher (I'm housebound). Finally found someone and a vet.  Vet says her femur is broken and so is her wing.  Both have to be pinned.  It's been a very rough year and there is no money.  Vet will not take payments.  I am not too proud to beg even tho it makes me feel very badly but please help me save my precious baby.  She doesn't deserve this pain and misery because Mommy doesn't have the vet money
