Dylan's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Dylan Corbett - In September 2016, only having just turned 20 years old 6 weeks earlier I was diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of testicular cancer. Two weeks later I had an operation to remove the tumour only to find out it had already spread to my lungs. I have not been alone in my battle as I am the third person in my family to be diagnosed with cancer this year. In February this year my Nanna, Lynne was diagnosed with bowel cancer which spread to her lungs. She underwent multiple major surgeries to remove part of her bowel and lungs. My mother, Dee was diagnosed in June this year with breast cancer which spread to the lymph nodes, and I currently receive chemotherapy treatment along side her on a regular basis. Because I am undergoing a vigorous chemotherapy routine consisting of 25 hours a week, I have been forced out of my employment due to Both a lack of time and not being able to work in many environments including in the sun and around raw foods and bacteria. Not only have I been forced out of employment, I am also not eligible to receive a sickness benefit from Centrelink as I do not meet the age requirement of 22 years of age. Although my family have tried their best to support me in my fight, they're are also battling their own battles, and I have found utility and other bills building up.
