Hello Games, Goodbye Cancer

Hello, We are the members of a community dedicated to the video game No Mans Sky.

Recently a member of the community (VedecGuru) that is currently in a battle with brain cancer Playstation 4 has malfunctioned. We have started this go fund me in order to buy a new console for our fellow traveller. Here is an excerpt from a post to the community from VedecGuru:

No Mans Sky is a metaphor for life so I feel I need to explain why it's so important to me. I was diagnosed 4 years ago with Oglioastrocytoma which is a form of brain cancer. I fought hard for the last few years but now it's starting to take its toll.

I have been hospitalized for the last 6 months. No Mans Sky has allowed me to escape my bed , it has allowed me to escape this hospital. It has helped me with inner peace, it is my Zen! It's allowed me to connect with some great new people and new friends through this amino.

No Mans Sky has helped me in so many ways and it may be hard to understand for some but all that matters is that it has helped me and I am so grateful for it and for Hello Games creating it. I always wanted to be an astronaut since I was a kid and now because of this game I get to mark that off my bucket list!!
