Tornado relief fund

My mom, Delaina Purcell, runs an in-home daycare here. They have lived here in Bondurant for almost 20 years now, and she has probably watched many of you and helped raised some of you in the community. On Thursday, we received a text from a daycare parent saying there is a tornado warning. We had two kids sleeping upstairs and my mom went to grab them, we turned the tv on to see what was going on and then heard the sirens. I looked outside to see debris flying and yelled for the kids to rush to the back room. We all got in there and they did exactly what they are suppose to do (Thank you, Bondurant teachers for teaching them this!). We waited in pitch black as you could hear the tornado roaring and feel the whole house shake. It was the single most terrifying thing to have gone through. Once we got the courage to open the door, we made sure my sister was ok, as she was sleeping in another room. We could hear very loud hissing, and I knew that was a gas leak. We saw, to our horror, that the Ratliff’s house was torn to shreds. I called 911 to inform them of the gas leak and let them know that Susie may be injured. We guided the kids through all of the glass and debris upstairs to see the whole upstairs destroyed. We went to the front door and there was a huge tree blocking the entry. Becky Hutchinson and her kids, husband, and some other man(don’t know his name), all helped to move the tree and carry the 11 kids over all the debris (shoes were gone). Thank you to everyone who rushed to our help, it really means much more than you can imagine. I have set up a GoFundMe for my parents to help pay for everything lost and ruined.
