Kimmy

This is Kimmy and Dexter. As you can see by their photo, they loved each other very much. They would spend hours playing, cuddling, and cleaning one another in only a way that love can be shown between two loving souls. 

We initially adopted Kimmy when she was five months old. Both of us did not know we were going to get another cat so soon, but we fell in love with her instantly. She was the type of kitty that would meow and purr so loud that you could hear it from across the room. All she ever wanted was attention and love. She got more than that with us. She got a new family that spoiled and loved her until her final day on this earth.

We had no idea that Kimmy had underdeveloped kidneys and an abnormal sized heart (one too big for her own body, but we thought just added to her sweetness). She got severely sick one day and by the next we had to let her go. It was one of the hardest decisions we ever had to make. She was only 9 months old.

We writing this today because we wanted to do everything we could in order for her to survive. What we did not know was that the vet bills would be so expensive. We were shedding tears of grief as they handed us the invoice. The total costs were nearly $2,000 for the few hours she was at emergency care to when we had to say goodbye.

Now with the stress of the heartbreak of losing his best friend, Dexter is now having health issues and more vet bills are piling up.

We are asking for help to cover the cost of our Kimmy's bills. If we are lucky enough to reach the full amount any penny over will be donated to her rescue group The Rescue Train. If you can please help, this would ease some of the grief we had to endure this holiday season.
