Jaime's Car ANGEL Accident Fund
Donation protected
On a Saturday morning, I was driving in a parking lot in Maui and was suddenly hit by a car coming from behind some bushes from off the highway. The last thing I remember is a sign that said “Thank You” and saying the word “Jesus” the second I saw the car. My car was a total loss and insurance did not cover it. I had major PTSD from the accident, but felt like there was a reason it was happening, even at the moment I got out of the car, and I still believe.
I had a $1,000 deductible for my medical. I recommend you check your insurance policy and consider adding a no deductible for medical, it might cost you another $10/ year. I’m a New Yorker and this was my first time buying car insurance. I’ve learned that Geico has a horrible reputation for paying claims, so please be forewarned.
I am asking for donations of $4,500 towards a vehicle that is stable, as well as $1,000 for my medical deductible. I have been resourceful and blessed by friends like you supporting me during this time. I’ve also found my way around the island through hitchhiking (I know what you’re thinking), as well as taking the bus which takes 1.5-3 hours to get to my destination and only runs a few times a day. I just finished a project using intuition and nonverbal communication skills to teach a boy with Autism how to talk, make eye contact, and communicate. He now says about 15 words and can count to 100, and will do sound toning, forehead to forehead. It was a harrowing experiencing. While I felt called to be with this little boy, he was violent at times and I did learn from this experience that you do not need to sacrifice in order to serve. Now I am focusing on my next steps, bringing my boundaries and bodies work into the community here, teaching consent to youth and adults through comedy, as well as taking marketing clients by referral. Thank you for your contribution to my journey. Blessed Be.
