Elena Avalos' funeral expenses

Elena dealt with stomach cancer for 2 years. For a year and 1/2 she had been going to chemotherapy and the cancer remained neautral. Until recently, she started getting unbearable stomach pains that she had to be rushed to the emergency room, she'd stay at the hospital atleast a week, she'd come home for a couple days and then had to be rushed to the hospital again. After the pains, she had trouble breathing, we also had to rush her to the emergency room, turns out water had gotten to her lungs, she stayed at the hospital for a couple weeks until she finally got released. Unfortunately, a week later she had to go back. She then had 2 tubes in her back, one for each lung, when that wasn't enoughto  stop the water she got surgery and was happy she got to spend Thanksgiving with her family at home instead of at the hospital. A week later she was rushed to the hospital and left us on Tuesday Dec. 6th, though they were able to bring her back to life. Ever since she couldn't breath on her own and was on life support for almost 2 weeks, just when we thought she was going to be capable of breathing on her own, her body gave out on December 17, 2016. 

She asked that her body would be sent to Guatemala, her hometown, after her passing.

Elena ha sufrido del cáncer estomacal por 2 años. Por un año y medio a estado yendo a sus quimioterapias y el cáncer permaneció neutral. Hasta que recientemente, empezó a tener unos dolores en el estómago insoportable que tuvo que ir al hospital de emergencia, se quedaba en el hospital por lo menos una semana, se regresaba a su casa por unos días y de nuevo tenía que regresar a la sala de emergencias. Después de los dolores, se le hizo difícil respirar así que regreso al hospital y resulto que el agua le entro a los pulmones. Se quedó en el hospital por un par de semanas hasta que por fin pudo regresar a su casa. Desafortunadamente una semana después tuvo que regresar al hospital y le pusieron 2 tubos en su espalda, uno para cada pulmón. Como eso no fue suficiente para detener el agua le hicieron cirugía y estuvo muy feliz de poder pasar acción de gracias con su familia y lejos del hospital. Una semana después se fue de emergencia al hospital y nos dejó el martes 6 de diciembre, pero la pudieron revivir; pero desde entonces no podía respirar por ella misma y la pusieron en soporte vital por casi dos semanas. Cuando pensábamos que ya iba a poder respirar por ella misma, su cuerpo se dio por vencido el 17 de diciembre 2016.

Ella nos pidió que la mandáramos a Guatemala después de su fallecimiento.
