32nd Annual Reklaw Fly-In 2017

This has always been a safe event with an emphasis on FUN.
If we all work to keep it that way, we can continue the event for several more years to come.
For those of us who have been to Reklaw know it's not just another fly in. It's a very unique fly in. A fly in you can never forget, a fly in that you have to come back next year. You get together with pilots you know, and you get together with pilots you've never met. Pilots all over Texas, even outside of Texas fly to this once a year event. Its nothing more than a very busy, non-towered, traffic pattern full of all different types of airplanes practicing go-arounds. Pilots that like to show off there planes and takeoff and landings... this event is perfect for that. And a great place to camp out.
Reklaw 2017 may or may not happen unless the funds are there. Still aiming for October 27th-29th. But with barely any funds, Dave and Marcia may not be able to make Reklaw a reality this year.
Apparently some of us that fly into Reklaw and don't pay that small fee thats required to help Reklaw keeping going for the next year. That small fee pays for a lot of things. I did not know this but they actually hire people for manual labor to help clean up before the event. $15/hour a person/ two months straight working to get the place ready gets really expensive. Plus renting utilities so we can use the restroom and shower and wash ours hands for the weekend gets expensive. And even security. Because this event is not opened to the public.

Dave and Marcia are NOT asking for money. This Go Fund Me page was my idea, I did it because I personally want Reklaw to continue. In the past people have helped me when I was in need. Now I'm paying it forward.
