30-year cornea celebration!

In 1990, I was involved in a slingshot accident which affected my right eye. Over the course of the next 4 years, I had 5 operations to help fix my eye, one of which was a cornea transplant. The transplant was supposed to last only 10 years. Fast forward to 2019 when said cornea transplant finally starts to fail. Getting 30 years out of a cornea transplant is downright magical (thanks Dr. Donnenfeld!).

I'm scheduled to receive a new cornea in a few weeks and luckily enough, I have health insurance and don't have to start a GoFundMe to pay for the surgery. But, this is a great opportunity to spread awareness about organ donation and to support an important organization.

So, in celebration of my 30-year cornea and as a thank you to New England Donor Services, I hope to raise a good amount of money for the organization (with which I have no other affiliation).

Friends, I ask you to please:
- Give whatever you feel you can to this campaign to help others receive vital organs
- Donate your organs! You don't need them when you're dead!
- Encourage others to donate their organs
