Help Sober Dudes save more lives!

Hello, my name is Jennifer and I own Sober Dudes.

My husband and I have lived in Bend, Oregon for over 20 years; love our community and keeping it safe. We have 3 children and understand the importance of keeping them as well as others safe and have committed ourselves to this FULL TIME. We have both lost someone we loved directly as result of driving while intoxicated and understand that no one should have to go through that pain.

Almost everyone has a story about knowing someone who may have been in an accident or situation with a driver who was intoxicated; we aim to help stop that. We started this campaign to help grow Sober Dudes designated driving service into the ultimate transportation company. The great community of Bend, Oregon and those that have visited have rallied around us for the last 3 years, making Sober Dudes Bend's best kept secret.

We are looking to take the Sober Dudes further, strengthening our business and growing our name while expanding our mission. We are reaching out to those in the community and communities around the world who understand the importance of NOT drinking and driving. We aim to innovate and expand our current Nightly DD service as well as our Beer, Wine and Cider delivery service. Your donation will be used to progress and grow our service and ability to provide it more widely. The life you help save could not only be yours, but a friend or family member.

Here is what we will use the funds that are raised for, it is simple, worthwhile and means so much to those in Central Oregon, which will then allow us to expand into other cities in Oregon and beyond!

#1 Change our hours of operation from 6pm-3am nightly to even earlier. We would like to do this as we receive numerous calls from clients requesting earlier pickups from Sober Dudes. Doing this would require hiring additional drivers and chasers along with purchasing at least 1 company owned chase vehicle.

#2 Offer a new singular DD service extension which would allow for drivers to use collapsible electric bikes, speeding up the DD service on each fare and dropping the overall cost of the fare to the client, encouraging the use Sober Dudes services.

#3 Sober Dudes drivers' customer service is bar none and exceeds our client's expectations every time. Due to this and the number of requests from new and existing clients, we are planning on adding on a taxi service for those who LOVE the Sober Dudes service, drivers and experience but may not have a vehicle.

#4 Add logos and/or wrap the official Sober Dudes chase vehicles so there is no mistake about who is picking you up and the service you're expecting to get. The GREAT and courteous Sober Dudes drivers!

#5 With the expansion of service in Bend, we are planning to exapnd to Eugene, Salem, Portland and BEYOND! Donating will help us come to your city faster!

We plan to post pictures of the progress via our new online blog and via our popular Facebook and Twitter pages. For all Wristbands, Tees and Memberships, you will be contacted for delivery on 8/1/14 and are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed upon. When reaching the goal, a special 1 time secret reward will be given to everyone who donated, regardless of level or donation amount, as a deeply sincere and honest thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are a family owned and operated business. Many choose to drive themselves feeling "OK" to drive after having a few or decide to take a taxi. This poses potential problems, the night of and the day after. You set yourself up for the risk of a DUI or worse, which then creates a life forever changed and filled with regret and remorse. Taxis are known for frequent rate hikes, inconsistencies and we all have known someone who has a scary taxi story about a unprofessional taxi driver and experience. As almost everyone has a family member or friend who has been in an alcohol related accident, Sober Dudes grew out of a need to heal over our own personal loss and family horror stories.
