3 White Dudes Go To Japan - Film

Three Childhood Friends Set off on a backpacking hitchhiking Journey through Japan.  Using google translate they communicate with the Japanese to travel across the country via the kindness of the Japanese and create unforgettable, comedic gold.


My name is Brian Crawford and I’m an internationally known professional photographer.  I’ve always had a huge passion for creating videos which started way back when I was in the 5th grade. My childhood  friends Giovanni, Kyle and I would produce home videos at a very young age which actually turned out to be quit classic and very funny. Over the years my childhood friends and I lost touch with each other after I moved away from them my Sophomore year in High-school.  I ended up finding my way into a career in the health and wellness industry shooting photos and videos for many Yoga clients around the world. However my passion for creating my own film with my childhood friends never seised.  


My Childhood friend Giovanni who is a well known music Producer just reached out to me after not hearing from him for many years and our other childhood friend Kyle just lost his job of 5 years. I knew the time was right for me to set in motion the film project I’ve been dreaming about for many years.  I quickly came up with the Idea to reconnect with each other 25 years later and continue our childhood passions and dreams to create my first ever documentary film in Japan.   I’m throwing everything I have into this film, my heart, my soul, my childhood best friends and even trying to lead a good example for my soon to be new baby. 


This Documentary will be a hysterical and in depth look into the respectful, kind and incredibly intriguing culture of the Japanese. We will start this cinematic Journey in Tokyo and then fly into the most stunning parts of Northern Japan. We will then hitch hike our way all the way down to the tropical and gorgeous islands of Okinawa whilst interacting with the local Japanese with a digital voice translator.  We will ask the the locals if they can take care of us by feeding us in their own homes and showing us around getting a real feel for the hospitality & respect the Japanese have.  We are currently looking for donations for the proper equipment, flights, hotel or hostel stay and funding the bring this project to fruition this October 2018. Most of all we are looking for investors who believe in this project and the passion that encompasses it.
