Help Support A Life - Efrain Iraheta

My friend Efrain was working hard to become a firefighter. He had completed his fire academy and received his AA in Fire Technology. He was going to paramedic school and had been applying and interviewing with multiple fire departments. He was working as on an ambulance as an EMT running 911 calls and helping save lives. He is turning 24 on November 10th, and he will spend his birthday in the hospital ICU fighting for his life. The reasons behind his hospitalization I cannot disclose due to personal and legal reasons. However, I can say he is suffering from multiple organ failure and doctors are wondering if he will have any brain damage once he comes out of his coma. The reason I set up this gofundme account is because his mother, who has been working as a maid all her life, who also suffers from her own illnesses, is spending sleepless nights in the hospital by her sons side. His mom cannot work, and she is not being compensated for her days off. They are racking up thousands of dollars in medical bills and I worry that she will not be able to pay her rent, her bills, or pay for groceries and his medical bills. This account was made to support his mom and my friend while he fights for his life.

My friend would always tell me that he looked forward to the day he could tell his mom that she no longer has to work. That she could finally rest and he would take care of her. I pray everyday that he gets out of this and could still one day tell his mom that.
