Kim's rally against Syringomyelia
Donation protected
On Oct 17th I woke up with a severe headache that never went away. I spent the next 4 months going to one doctor to another. In February, I learned that I have a rare neurological spine disease. Syringomyelia. I have two cysts inside of my spinal cord obstructing the flow of my cerebral spinal fluid. It deteriorates the spinal nerves from inside to out. This is a very painful disease. I had to quit driving in October due to it effecting my vision. I have horrible pain in my eyes, head & neck. I'm in bed many days out of the week with pain, crying & begging for mercy. So far my vision, my thoughts, speech, balance and coordination have all been affected. My arms & legs are now numb. At this time I can still walk but can't feel my legs. This disease can leave one paralyzed. It's estimated that less than 100,000 people have this out of the entire US population of 380 billion. The closest specialist is at Cleveland Clinic. My parents will be taking me & staying in Cleveland with me. There is going to be several trips & extended stays as this is no easy fix. I do have insurance however there are deductibles, co-pays & lodging along with travel expenses for the three of us. I'm starting at the begining of a very long road. Any & all donations are greatly appreciated. If you can't donate maybe send a prayer up for me. Thank you all in advance, my family & I greatly appreciate it.
