Rex Needs Surgery

Many of you know that Rex tore his ACL back in May. After weeks of being on "bed rest," he had finally healed enough to take short trips to the park. Rex loves being active and his favorite thing is to go to the park, so it was great to be able to get him outside again. Unfortunately, this meant shifting a lot of his weight to his other hind leg, and as a result, he tore another ligament in that leg.
With two injured hind legs, Rex now has difficulty walking and can only stand for a few minutes without getting tired. He is no longer able to take trips to the park and must be carried outside to use the bathroom.
Luckily, this injury is common in dogs and we have every hope that Rex can make a full recovery with surgery.
If you know us, you know that Deacon and I do not like asking for help. We are only asking now because Rex is a huge part of our little family and he needs help to be himself again. His spirits have still been high through these rough times, but we want him to be able to enjoy the same things again without pain.
His surgery will cost $2,800, and it's likely that he will need an additional surgery later on for his other leg. As Deacon is a full-time college student and I am a recent college graduate, our funds are pretty limited. We will appreciate anything you are able to give, but please do not feel obligated to donate if you are unable to.
Rex will see a surgeon on September 8, and his surgery will most likely be the following day. The majority of the funds are due on that date (September 9).
