The goal of Lift up Africa scholarship campaign is very simple:
Mobilize the global community to change the stereotype on Africa and Africans :
- Helps Djagora University meet the needs of Africa today, as well as 5-10 years from now.
- Graduate more workforce-ready employees who will strengthen local businesses and ultimately, Africa’s economy.
- Ensure students throughout Africa that Djagora University will provide them an education that focuses on skills and competencies.
Our mission is to engage global community, businesses, and individual donors to support curriculum innovation and scholarship throughout Africa.
Young people need a more comprehensive education that responds to labor market needs.
Africa's youth population is not only growing rapidly, it is also getting better educated.
Based on current trends, 59% of 20-24 years old will have had secondary education in 2030, compared to 42% today.
This will translate into 137 million 20-24 years old with secondary education and 12 million with tertiary education in 2030 who will need quality higher education.
