Kimberly Costa (Stewart)

Kimberly was diagnosed with breast cancer on July 22, 2016.  It is in 2 of her lymph nodes and is fast growing, her Oncologist along with her surgeon thought it would be best to start Chemo asap to hopefully shrink the tumors.  She will need to do chemo every 3 weeks(5hrs each time) for 18 weeks then she will need surgery & possible radiation after that.  This whole process of getting rid of the cancer willl take at least a year.  Kim started her first chemo treatment on tues. Aug 8th which took 8 hours, she was a trooper in good spirits & ready to kick cancers butt!! When she got home she started feeling sick & the effects of the chemo have now kicked in :( 

Kim is self employed so she doesn't recieve vacation pay or sick leave. As u can imagine being a single mom with 2 kids Paris 14 years old & Caden 12 years this will be hard emtionally & finacially for them.  We have had people ask what they can do to help during this difficult time so her family & friends have set up this account in hopes that we can help lessen the stress during this difficult time. We also want to use this page to update you on how Kim is doing since she may not be able to responded to everyone.........without a doubt she reads them & they are helping lift her spirits & keeping her feeling positive & loved.  As we go on this journey we hope that it will bring awareness to breast cancer & remind women how VERY important it is to get your mammograms.
