About 4 years ago Christine had made a full recovery from breast cancer. Since then she has been continuously educating herself on ways to help not only herself remain healthy but educate others as well.
A few months ago she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer of the bone. It has been a challenging journey since the diagnosis and will continue to be moving forward. Most recently she has been confined to the hospital. The bone cancer has continued to spread causing her spine to break and paralyzing the lower half of her body. Emergency surgery was the only option to try and save the function in her legs. The surgery went well, but her sutures opened and she was sent back to the operating room. We may not know for a few weeks if the surgery was successful and rehabilitation will be necessary regardless.
Christine had Obama care that failed her and left her with no insurance for the past two years; they were excruciatingly late paying for even regular checkups. The doctors eventually could not see her without pre-payment. She could not afford the pre-payment of the doctors along with continuing to pay for the insurance. Due to these events she had no medical care and was not able to afford the most important medications for her treatment in order to remain cancer free.
She has been placed on disability without pay until further notice. This has made it impossible to keep up with already existing bills like her mortgage, let alone the quickly accumulating medical bills. Coming to the realization of not being able to afford these expenses has been quite stressful to say the least. At this point, staying positive and focusing the positive energy on healing is the best thing she can do. Any donation can help her be able to do just that; no matter how big or small, the donations do accumulate and will help take the burden of the bills away.
