Comeaux Hi Baseball with Coach Chop

Donation protected
As an assistant coach here at Comeaux I've been impressed with the program that Jeramie "Chop" Broussard has been trying to create in this, his second year as head coach.  I've been a teacher and coach for some 47 years and it's refreshing to see that his program has become more than just baseball because he emphasizes all aspects of life here at Comeaux, academic and community.
It's this last aspect that's been most impressive with recent events (the flood at the beginning of school).  Even with the flooding in their own families, these young men came out, under Coach Chop's guidance, during the entire week we were off and spent everyday, 8 to 12 hours a day, helping families throughout our community.
As recently reported on the news, our clubhouse was broken into over the weekend of Oct. 8th and 9th and the equipment of some 25 players was stolen or trashed.  This included some very expensive gloves, bats and gear necessary to practice and compete.
These are the kids of families who're still recovering from the flood and now they can't even practice, or keep their arms in shape because they can't throw.   The value of the things stolen is a little over $5000.   With the rate of inflation rising and the fact that we need the equipment now, we're not blessed with the luxury of shopping around for the best deal.  We need these items as quickly as possible.
Not everything can be replaced, though.  One young man, Justin Schrader, a huge UL fan,  told me that one of the things stolen was a UL baseball cap he got at his first UL game when he was 6 years old.  I jokingly said, it can't still fit can it.  "You don't understand" he added, "that's the first UL had my dad bought for me."
Please help these young men get back what was stolen and realize that "karma" is a real thing and their heroic efforts during the flood will be rewarded.  Thanks for any help you can provide.
